| 备注 |
Australia's switch to decimal currency on 14 February 1966 — "Decimal Day" — required an entirely new note series produced under considerable time pressure. The Reserve Bank's Note Printing Branch in Melbourne had to tool up for the full range of denominations essentially from scratch, making this one of the first significant series printed domestically rather than contracted to British security printers. Four signature combinations across the series reflect the turnover of Governors and Deputy Governors between 1966 and 1972, with the Coombs & Wilson pairing appearing only briefly before H.C. Coombs retired after fourteen years as Governor.
