Additional information

Niue's coinage program is essentially a licensing operation — the island nation generates revenue by contracting its monetary authority to foreign mints and bullion dealers, with New Zealand handling its actual currency needs. This piece is one of hundreds of commemorative issues struck under that arrangement, with no meaningful connection to domestic circulation.

Charles III formally acceded on 8 September 2022 following Elizabeth II's death at Balmoral.
