| Obverse description | The obverse depicts the Public Seal of Niue rendered in high relief at center, surmounted by a royal crown, and encircled by a legend reading PUBLIC SEAL OF NIUE within an ornate beaded border. Flanking the seal are two crossed arrows below, with the Niuean motto ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI inscribed on a scroll beneath. The date 2025 is displayed in large numerals to either side of the seal, while the denomination 2 DOLLARS appears in bold lettering across the lower field. The composition of the background field features intricate high-relief elements including rocky outcroppings to the lower left and stylized organic forms — branches with foliage and flowing cloud-like shapes — framing the central device, all finished in an antiqued silver treatment that enhances the sculptural depth. The mint mark CM and engraver's initials SR appear in the lower exergue. |
