Reverse description The reverse presents a richly detailed high-relief composition celebrating the ancient civilisations of Egypt. At centre left, the celebrated painted limestone bust of Queen Nefertiti is depicted in profile, rendered with fine sculptural detail including her distinctive tall flat-topped crown and broad collar. To the right, the monumental rock-cut facade of the Great Temple of Abu Simbel is shown, with its colossal seated figures flanking the entrance. In the lower field, the processional Avenue of Sphinxes at Karnak is depicted receding into the distance. Dates and place names referencing key historical and discovery milestones are inscribed across the design: ET - 1304 - ABU SIMBEL - 1836 / TEBY cv. 2017 / BERLIN - 1342 - KARNAK - 1580. The entire surface carries a patinated antique finish enhancing the archaeological character of the design.
