| 正面描述 | The obverse is struck in the distinctive shape of the Vulcan salute hand gesture from Star Trek, with the fingers split between the middle and ring fingers. In the upper field, the legend LIVE LONG AND PROSPER appears in bold raised lettering arranged in three lines. In the lower portion of the field, a detailed portrait of Mr. Spock is depicted facing slightly left, his right hand raised in the Vulcan salute gesture. To the lower left, the Public Seal of Niue appears above the individual serial number 0001/1000, and along the right edge the denomination, weight, fineness, date, and CBS Studios copyright notice are inscribed. |

| 背面描述 | The reverse presents a highly detailed three-dimensional rendering of an open hand performing the Vulcan salute, with the characteristic separation between the middle and ring fingers clearly articulated. The sculptural surface faithfully reproduces the anatomical contours of the palm, fingers, and knuckles in high relief against a polished mirror field, with fine engraved lines indicating skin texture and creases. The entire composition conforms to the shaped flan, with the coin's outline precisely following the silhouette of the raised hand. No legends or inscriptions appear on this face, allowing the sculptural design to dominate. |

Niue has operated as a prolific licensing issuer since the 1990s, contracting with private minting houses — primarily the New Zealand Mint — to produce collectible legal tender under its sovereignty. The arrangement is fiscal rather than numismatic: Niue generates revenue through licensing fees, and the coins never circulate on the island.
The Vulcan salute was devised by Leonard Nimoy for the 1967 Star Trek episode "Amok Time," drawn from a gesture used in Jewish religious ceremony that Nimoy had witnessed as a child.
