| Obverse description | The obverse presents the Public Seal of Niue rendered in frosted relief at the centre of a rectangular field, featuring a crowned circular emblem flanked by two crossed paddles and surmounted by a royal crown. The seal is encircled by the legend PUBLIC SEAL OF NIUE and displays stylised floral and foliate motifs within the central medallion, with the Niuean motto ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI inscribed on a scroll beneath. The denomination TWO DOLLARS is engraved in an arc above the seal, and the date 2024 appears in the lower field. The entire composition is framed by an elaborate geometric guilloché border with repeating diamond and interlaced patterns, characteristic of high-security proof minting. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is struck in the form of a tarot card depicting the XIX — The Sun, the nineteenth Major Arcana of the tarot deck. At the centre of the fully coloured rectangular field, a large anthropomorphic sun with a serene human face, closed eyes, and spiral cheek motifs radiates alternating straight and wavy golden rays across a vivid multicoloured sky of blue, red, and orange hues. Sunflowers in full bloom occupy the lower portion of the coloured field, rising above stylised white clouds rendered in uncoloured relief at the bottom of the card. The Roman numeral XIX appears within a small circular cartouche at the top of the inner frame, and the legend THE SUN is inscribed in the lower exergual margin. The outer border of the reverse features fine Art Deco-style geometric framing elements in frosted silver relief. |
