The coins are produced by the Perth Mint on behalf of the Tuvalu government, which collects royalties while the mint handles design, production, and distribution entirely to the international bullion and numismatic market.

"The Phantom" series draws on the long-running Lee Falk comic strip character first published in 1936. KM#733 is a two-troy-ounce fine silver issue in that franchise run.
