Part of Perth Mint's ongoing licensed collaboration with the estate controlling Clement Clarke Moore's 1823 poem, this release uses a selectively gilded insert technique the mint has refined across its high-relief collector series since the mid-2010s. The $2 face value is a legal tender denomination issued under Australian authority but carries no pretense of circulation — it exists entirely as a vehicle for the collector market.
KM#4565 distinguishes it from earlier entries in the same thematic series, each assigned discrete catalog numbers despite near-identical specifications.
