| Obverse description | The Public Seal of Niue depicted centrally within an ornate wreath of interlinked oval and elongated elements, surmounted by a royal crown. The seal itself features a traditional Niuean decorative motif at centre, enclosed within a beaded circular border bearing the legend PUBLIC SEAL OF NIUE in a curved arc above. A banner below the seal reads ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI, and two crossed traditional paddles are rendered beneath the wreath. The denomination 2 DOLLARS and the date 2023 appear in the lower field, flanking the Czech Mint mark (CM) at bottom centre. A fine beaded border frames the entire design. |

| Reverse description | A three-quarter length figure of Saint Martin of Tours depicted as a Roman soldier, clad in segmented armour, a fibula-fastened military cloak draped over his shoulders, and a crested helmet. He is shown leaning forward with both hands resting on a drawn sword held horizontally before him, his gaze directed toward the viewer. The bilingual legend SV. MARTIN to the upper left and ST. MARTIN to the upper right arcs around the figure in the field. The engraver's initials dK appear in the lower left field. The background to the right is rendered as a deeply recessed mirror field, creating a strong contrast with the relief figure. |
