| Obverse description | Uncrowned effigy of King Charles III facing left, rendered in high relief within the brass-plated aluminium bronze centre. The portrait, engraved by Steven Rosati and bearing his initials 'SR' at the truncation, depicts the King in civilian dress with naturalistic detail to the hair and facial features. The legend 'CHARLES III' arcs along the left of the outer nickel-plated steel ring, and 'D·G·REX' arcs along the right, both in raised capital letters. The date '2024' appears in the lower segment of the outer ring, centred beneath the effigy. |

| Reverse description | The reverse celebrates the centennial of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), spanning the years 1924 to 2024. The brass-plated inner core features the colourized RCAF roundel prominently above a stylized depiction of the CC-130 Hercules transport aircraft shown in an upward-climbing attitude, a visual allusion to the RCAF motto 'Sic itur ad astra' (Such is the pathway to the stars); the commemorative double dates '1924 2024' are inscribed within the core. The outer nickel-plated steel ring is engraved with eight aircraft representing the RCAF's history, arranged symmetrically: on the left, from top to bottom, the Finch Mk. II, CSR-123 Otter, F-86 Sabre Mk. 6, and CF-100 Canuck Mk. 5; on the right, from top to bottom, the CT-114 Tutor, CC-115 Buffalo, CF-188 Hornet, and CH-146 Griffon helicopter. The legend 'CANADA 2 DOLLARS' appears on the outer ring, with the engraver's initials 'PYF' also present. |
