| Obverse description | The obverse presents a richly detailed composition combining the Public Seal of Niue in the lower centre field, depicted as a crowned heraldic badge with the inscriptions ATUA and NIUE TUKULAGI on a ribbon below. Behind and to the left, a scene of the Crucifixion is rendered in low relief, showing Christ on the cross with the titulus INRI above and a mourning female figure to the lower left. To the right, the ornate reliquary cross of Pope Urban V is depicted in detail, its arms decorated with miniature figural scenes and a central oval medallion. The denomination 2 DOLLARS and date 2026 arc along the upper field, flanked by the fineness mark Ag 999 along the right border. |
