Obverse description The obverse displays the Public Seal of Niue at center, comprising a crowned circular escutcheon enclosing a stylized floral motif, surrounded by a wreath of leaves and flanked by crossed implements above a banner inscribed ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI. The denomination TWO DOLLARS appears in an arc along the upper field, with the date 2023 positioned below the seal. At the bottom of the field, the inscriptions 1 oz 999 Fine Silver and the Lucasfilm copyright notice are incused. The overall design is struck in fully sculpted high relief on a planchet shaped in the outline of the character.

Reverse description The reverse presents a chibi-style stylized effigy of Moff Gideon, the Imperial antagonist from the Star Wars universe, rendered in full color with fine sculptural detail. The figure is depicted facing forward in three-quarter bust form, wearing a dark Imperial officer's uniform with distinctive red accents and rank insignia on the chest. The character's face is rendered with exaggerated chibi proportions — large expressive eyes, defined brow, and a stern expression — finished in polychrome enamel. The planchet itself is die-cut to follow the silhouette of the character's head and shoulders, giving the piece a sculptural, three-dimensional appearance. No legends appear on this face, all inscriptional content being confined to the obverse.
