| Obverse description | The Public Seal of Niue is depicted centrally, surmounted by a royal crown, encircled by the legend PUBLIC SEAL OF NIUE and flanked by decorative foliate elements. The date 2024 is divided on either side of the seal, while the denomination 2 DOLLARS is inscribed in bold lettering below. A ribbon scroll beneath the seal bears the Niuean motto ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI, with two crossed traditional implements rendered beneath it. The mint marks CM and SR appear in the lower field. The entire composition is set against a richly detailed background featuring rocky cliff formations to the left and entwining tree roots and foliage to the right, executed in antiqued high relief. |
