| Obverse description | The Public Seal of Niue is depicted at left-centre within an elaborately engraved field featuring intricate Chinese taotie and scroll motifs in relief, evoking ancient bronzeware ornamentation. The seal, surmounted by a royal crown, bears a central device of a breadfruit tree encircled by a wreath and flanked by crossed ceremonial paddles, with the inscriptions ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI and PUBLIC SEAL OF NIUE. The denomination legend 2 DOLLARS appears along the upper rim, and the issuer and date inscription NIUE ISLAND 2023 is displayed along the lower rim in bold raised lettering.
