| 表面の説明 | The obverse features the Public Seal of Niue prominently at center, depicting a stylized tropical plant within a circular medallion bordered by a traditional zigzag pattern, flanked by a wreath of elongated leaves. The seal is surmounted by a royal crown, with two crossed ceremonial paddles displayed below. The curved legend PUBLIC SEAL OF NIUE arcs above the central device within the seal, while the motto ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI appears on a scroll beneath it. The denomination TWO DOLLARS is inscribed in raised lettering along the upper periphery of the field, with the date 2024 positioned at the bottom. |

Niue has operated as a licensing vehicle for pop-culture bullion since the early 2000s, issuing coins under a New Zealand-administered arrangement that grants it nominal sovereignty over its currency while the actual monetary system runs on the New Zealand dollar. Grogu — the infant character from the Disney+ series The Mandalorian, first aired in 2019 — appears here under a Lucasfilm licensing agreement, one of dozens of such arrangements Niue holds simultaneously with major entertainment IP holders.
These issues are produced primarily for the collector and bullion market; none circulate on the island's population of roughly 1,500.
