Niue's arrangement with New Zealand Mint has made the island's legal tender framework a vehicle for this category of numismatic merchandise — the $2 face value is nominal against the silver content alone.
Grand Admiral Thrawn, notably, originated not in film but in Timothy Zahn's 1991 novel Heir to the Empire, later absorbed into Disney's official canon through the animated series Rebels.
