| Obverse description | The obverse field is divided diagonally into contrasting matte and mirror-polished sections, creating a striking two-tone composition. In the upper portion, the crowned Public Seal of Niue is rendered in high relief, encircled by the legend PUBLIC SEAL OF NIUE and flanked by a decorative chain border. Below the seal, a scroll bears the Niuean motto ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI, flanked by crossed arrows. The lower half of the field features a partial heraldic shield with a stylised lion and decorative ivy leaf motifs, with the denomination 2 DOLLARS and date 2023 inscribed diagonally across the right side. The Czech Mint monogram appears at the lower centre. |
