The central section presents two highly detailed tape reels flanking a magnetic tape exposure window with black enamel inlay, all faithfully reproducing the mechanical detail of a classic compact cassette. The lower portion features a recessed label panel inscribed with the name LOU OTTENS in stylised lettering, commemorating the Dutch inventor of the compact cassette, beneath which his life dates 1926-2021 are engraved. |
