One of dozens of Marvel-licensed silver rounds issued through New Zealand's Niue program, which has used the island nation's minting authority since 2012 to produce pop-culture collector pieces with legal tender status. Niue itself has a population under 2,000 and no meaningful domestic coin circulation — the arrangement is entirely a revenue mechanism for the New Zealand-administered territory.
KM#5995 places this among a sprawling Krause sequence for Niue's Marvel output. Charles III's accession in September 2022 makes this an early example bearing his effigy on that series.
