| 背面描述 | The reverse presents a full-colour reproduction of original Star Wars concept art depicting C-3PO™ standing prominently in the foreground of a vast desert landscape, with R2-D2™ at lower left on the sandy terrain. A dramatic mesa formation rises in the middle distance beneath a pale sky with a crescent moon visible at upper right, evoking the twin-sunned world of Tatooine. The STAR WARS™ logotype is inscribed above the central coloured panel. Below the panel, a cursive legend reads 'Concept Art', flanked by the inscriptions 'C-3PO™ and R2-D2™' and a unique edition number '0000/1000' denoting the coin's place within a limited mintage of 1,000 pieces. |

The New Zealand Mint operates as a private mint despite its name — it holds no government mandate and issues coins on behalf of small Pacific sovereign states, in this case almost certainly Niue, which has licensed its currency authority for decades to fund collectibles programs. The Star Wars franchise licensing agreement with Lucasfilm, now a Disney subsidiary, has produced dozens of these bullion issues since the early 2010s.
C-3PO and R2-D2 share their first dedicated paired issue in this series here, rather than appearing as supporting characters on ensemble pieces.
