| Beschrijving voorzijde | Uncrowned effigy of King Charles III in left-facing profile, rendered in fine high-relief detail with naturalistic modelling of the facial features, hair, and jacket collar. The portrait, designated the first effigy of Charles III for Australian coinage, is the work of engraver Darryl Tindall, whose initials 'DT' appear in small letters at the lower right of the bust. The circular legend 'CHARLES III AUSTRALIA' arcs around the upper field, flanked by two raised dots, while the lower arc carries the inscriptions '2oz 9999 Ag 2 DOLLARS'. The antiqued finish imparts a darkened, aged contrast to the brushed relief surfaces. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
The Perth Mint has issued Lunar Series coins continuously since 1996, making this one of the longest-running thematic programs in modern bullion coinage. The Year of the Horse falls twelfth in the twelve-year cycle — the same position it held when the series first launched, meaning collectors who entered at the beginning have now completed a full rotation under a different monarch.
Charles III's effigy here is the first portrait approved for Australian coinage following Elizabeth II's death in September 2022, sculpted by Dominic Davies.
