Obverse description Uncrowned effigy of King Charles III facing left, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and facial features, set against a brushed antiqued field. The portrait is the first effigy of Charles III used on Australian coinage, designed by Darryl Belanger, whose initials DT appear below the truncation. The legend CHARLES III arcs along the upper left and AUSTRALIA along the upper right of the border, while the lower arc carries the inscriptions 2oz · 9999 Ag · 2 DOLLARS, flanked by raised dot separators.
