Niue has operated as a reliable vehicle for themed bullion coinage since the 1990s, licensing its sovereignty to producers who sell directly to collectors with no pretense of circulation. This piece commemorates the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T, the muscle car era's peak displacement moment — the R/T designation indicating Road/Track specification with the 440 Magnum or optional 426 Hemi under the hood. Chrysler's B-body platform that year accounted for some of the highest factory horsepower ratings ever offered to American retail buyers before emissions legislation made such configurations commercially impossible.
