Obverse description The Fijian coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring two Fijian warriors as supporters flanking a quartered shield bearing a British lion, sugarcane, a coconut palm, a dove of peace, and a British sailing vessel, with the national motto ribbon inscribed 'Rerevaka na Kalou ka doka na Tui' below. The legend 'FIJI 2021' arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination '2 DOLLARS' is incused along the lower border. To the left of the coat of arms, '1oz' denotes the weight, and to the right, '.999 FINE SILVER' confirms the composition. The concave inner surface imparts a domed character to this obverse face.

Additional information

Part of the New Zealand Mint's licensed Marvel series, this issue is one of dozens of similarly formatted silver rounds produced under Fiji's nominal authority — a Pacific island nation whose government has long served as a convenient issuing vehicle for collectible coins it has no practical monetary relationship with. The arrangement is entirely legal but the "Fiji dollar" denomination carries no expectation of circulation. These sell on the collector market, not through any bank.
