| Obverse description | The obverse displays the national coat of arms of Palau at center, depicting a seated figure of a traditional chief holding a trident, accompanied by a female figure, set against a quartered shield with a crescent moon and star above, all within an ornate cartouche. A traditional Palauan outrigger canoe with a paddler appears above the shield. Eight six-pointed stars flank the shield in the field. The circular legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper rim, while the denomination 2$ is inscribed at the bottom of the field. The inscription RAINBOW'S END appears on a scroll at the base of the shield. |

| Reverse description | The reverse features a gold-colored selective gilded depiction of the Benz Patent-Motorwagen, the world's first true automobile, shown in three-quarter view resting on a tiled floor rendered in the field. Above the vehicle, a stylized steering wheel motif bearing the inscription 125 serves as an anniversary emblem. The date -2011- appears to the right of the vehicle, while the production dates -1886-1889- are inscribed in the lower central field.
