| 备注 |
The Bank of St. Thomas was a short-lived Ontario institution, and by 1889 it was already operating under the shadow of impending closure — it wound up operations in 1892, leaving circulating notes to be redeemed under the Canadian bank note guarantee provisions of the time. Notes from the final years of a failing chartered bank are disproportionately scarce because redemption rates were high and survivors were rarely kept.
ABNC printed the full chartered bank series for St. Thomas under contract, as they did for dozens of smaller Canadian institutions that lacked leverage to negotiate with domestic printers.
