The P#25 series spans a five-year window during which the Solomon Islands economy was still recovering from the ethnic tensions and near-collapse of government services that characterized the 1998–2003 RAMSI period. The 2 Dollar denomination anchored the low end of the circulating series and consequently absorbed the heaviest wear — notes from early in this print run are almost never found without significant handling damage.
Thomas De La Rue's London operation printed just over 12 million across the full run, a modest figure that reflects both the small population and the degree to which higher denominations dominated everyday commerce by this point.
