Obverse description The obverse displays a central intaglio vignette of a tongkang (Chinese junk) under full sail on calm waters, with seabirds in flight against a circular sun underprint. The Singapore Arms appears in the upper left corner, with the country name rendered in four languages — English, Malay, Chinese, and Tamil — in a horizontal band beneath the SINGAPORE heading at top.
