Obverse description The obverse is dominated by a central vignette of a tongkang (Chinese junk) sailing on calm waters against a rising sun, rendered in intaglio with fine line engraving. The Singapore state arms appear at the upper left, with the bilingual title 'SINGAPORE' and multilingual inscriptions across the top in English, Malay, Chinese, and Tamil. At right, an ornate guilloche panel carries the denomination numeral '$2', while commemorative text noting '25 Years of Currency Issue 1967–1992' and the date '12th June 1992' is printed in the lower right quadrant, accompanied by the Minister for Finance signature and the legal tender declaration.
