Obverse description The obverse is executed in blue tones over a fine guilloche underprint, with the central vignette occupied by the Chiremba Balancing Rocks of Matopos National Park rendered in detailed intaglio at right, flanked by native scrub vegetation at the base. A Cape Buffalo stands in intaglio at lower left, while the denomination numeral $2 appears in a guilloche panel at upper right and again at lower left. The issuer's title RESERVE BANK OF ZIMBABWE runs across the top in letterpress, with the promise-to-pay legend and TWO DOLLARS in bold serif type occupying the centre, above the Governor's facsimile signature and the place and date of issue.
