| 裏面の説明 | A large intaglio vignette of Victoria Falls occupies the central field, rendered in fine engraved linework with tropical vegetation framing both sides and mist rising at the base of the cascades. The denomination "$2" appears in ornate guilloche cartouches at each corner, and the legend "TWO DOLLARS" is lettered in the lower centre beneath the falls. The border consists of an intricate red guilloche frame with geometric repeat patterns. |

Rhodesian Security Printing was established specifically to insulate the regime from the increasingly awkward position of sourcing banknotes from foreign commercial printers after UDI in 1965. The Erfurt connection places production in East Germany — a quietly pragmatic arrangement for a government publicly aligned with the West but locked out of conventional channels by international sanctions. The printer's imprint was deliberately withheld from the notes, almost certainly to protect the commercial relationship from political scrutiny on both sides.
Bruce served as Governor from 1976 to 1979, the terminal years of the Rhodesian state.
