Obverse description Central circular incuse containing a crossed bow and arrow device, the traditional dynastic emblem of Nawanagar, set within a raised circular border. Surrounding the central motif, Gujarati script legends occupy the upper and lower fields, recording the ruler's name and titulature. A cluster of raised pellets appears in the lower left field. The overall design is characteristic of the hand-struck coinage tradition of the Kathiawar princely states.
