| Obverse description | Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic religious legend arranged in horizontal bands within a plain inner circle. The inscription, executed in angular Naskh script in high relief, reads the Shahada and related Islamic formula. An outer border of pellets or annulets frames the design, consistent with Ilkhanid hammered silver coinage of the period. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, typical of hand-struck dirhams of this era. |
