Obverse description Central field features a raised circular cartouche enclosing an Arabic legend in thuluth script. Surrounding the cartouche, four quadrants of the field are filled with multiple lines of Arabic inscription in angular Kufic-influenced script, with decorative geometric motifs occupying the interstices between the text panels. The overall layout is characteristic of Ilkhanid-influenced coinage of the period, with dense epigraphic ornamentation filling the flan to its irregular edges.
