Tennis was reinstated to the Olympic programme at the 1988 Seoul Games after a 64-year absence — the sport had last appeared at Paris 1924. Andorra issued this piece in anticipation of that reinstatement, part of a broader Olympic series that served the principality's coinage ambitions more than any athletic tradition, given that Andorra did not send athletes to Seoul.
