Reverse description A dynamic dual-sport Olympic composition occupies the reverse field, featuring two athletes rendered in relief: a kayaker paddling in the upper portion of the design and a cross-country skier striding in the lower portion, together symbolising both the Summer and Winter Games of 1992. The date '1992' is inscribed in the lower exergue, flanked by two raised dots. The circular peripheral legend reads 'DE LA XXIV OLIMPIADA CAP A BARCELONA - ALBERTVILLE', referencing the XXIV Olympiad and the twin host cities of Barcelona and Albertville. The athletic figures are depicted with clean, stylised lines characteristic of commemorative coin design of the period.

Additional information

Andorra's diner coinage of the 1980s was issued under the co-princeship of Joan Martí i Alanis, the Bishop of Urgell, one of the two co-princes whose feudal authority over Andorra dated to a 1278 paréage. The Olympic series — issued years ahead of the Barcelona 1992 Games — was partly a revenue exercise, as Andorra relied heavily on commemorative and collector coinage given the absence of a full national currency system. The magnetic KM#46.2 variant distinguishes this piece from its non-magnetic counterpart, a composition difference that emerged from a mid-run production change at the striking facility.
