| 背面描述 | The reverse features a centrally positioned depiction of the Zitouna Mosque minaret, a prominent national symbol of Tunisia, rendered in detailed relief. Flanking the minaret are the dates 1957 and 1967, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Tunisian Republic. The bilingual legend '10e ANNIVERSAIRE DE LA REPUBLIQUE' appears in Latin script along the upper periphery, with Arabic script completing the inscription. The denomination '2 DINARS' is inscribed in the lower exergual area. The design is bold and well-struck, typical of a commemorative pattern issue. |

Tunisia's proclamation of the republic came on July 25, 1957, exactly one year after independence, when Bourguiba abolished the monarchy and had himself declared president. The tenth anniversary in 1967 prompted a commemorative issue, and trial pieces in gold-plated brass were produced to test design, relief, and striking parameters before committing to final production materials. Reverse trials of this type were typically submitted for approval rather than distribution.
