| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of King Hussein II in right-facing profile, rendered in high relief against a polished field. An Arabic legend curves along the left periphery identifying the king, while a complementary Arabic inscription arcs along the right periphery naming the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The denomination in Arabic (دينارات) and the Hijri date ١٣٨٩ appear in the lower field beneath the portrait. The design is framed by an inner beaded border and an outer reeded rim. |
