Aanvullende informatie

By 1992, Yugoslavia existed in name only. The federation was dissolving under war and international sanctions, and the National Bank was printing money at a rate that would culminate in one of the worst hyperinflationary episodes in recorded history — the 500 billion dinar note arrived just two years later. Brass coinage from this period circulated briefly before becoming worthless within transactions, outpaced almost immediately by successive redenominations.

This issue belongs to the final coinage series of the rump Yugoslav state, by then comprising only Serbia and Montenegro.
