Obverse description The state emblem of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia occupies the central field: a torch with a flame, flanked by symmetrical sheaves of wheat bound at the base and tied with a ribbon bearing the founding date 29·XI·1943, the whole surmounted by a five-pointed star. The circular legend reads 'СФР ЈУГОСЛАВИЈА' in Cyrillic along the upper arc and 'SFR JUGOSLAVIJA' in Latin script along the lower arc, separated by ornamental dot stops. A beaded inner border runs along the coin's rim.
