Obverse description Central monogram of Sigismund II Augustus rendered in an ornate interlaced cypher, surmounted by a royal crown. The date appears in two parts flanking the lower portion of the monogram, reading 1566 as visible in the field. The design is contained within a plain circular border, typical of hammered Lithuanian coinage of the mid-sixteenth century.

Reverse description The Pursuer (Pahonia), the heraldic knight of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, depicted as an armored rider on horseback galloping to the right, brandishing a sword overhead. A shield bearing a cross is visible on the rider's arm. The design fills the circular field within a plain border, executed in the compact hammered style characteristic of small Lithuanian denominations of the Sigismund II Augustus era.
