| Beschrijving keerzijde | The distinctive shield of the Order of the Knights of St. John — a plain Greek cross on a shield — displayed in bold relief at the centre of the coin, enclosed within a plain inner circle. The cross fills the shield field in the characteristic Hospitaller style, with clearly defined arms. Surrounding the inner circle is a circular Latin legend in uncial characters, invoking the Constantinian motto. The overall design is bold and well-centred despite the irregular hammered flan, showing typical late medieval Rhodes mint workmanship. |

Guy of Blanchefort served as Grand Master for less than two years — elected in 1512, he died in October 1513 — making his coinage among the shortest-tenured issues in Hospitaller numismatic history. The Order was then based on Rhodes, still holding the island against Ottoman pressure that would ultimately succeed under Suleiman I in 1522, forcing the Knights' eventual retreat to Malta.
The copper denier denomination was the workhorse of Rhodian small commerce, struck in quantity despite the siege economy the Knights perpetually operated under.
