| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field features a detailed depiction of a trout in profile, shown leaping above stylized waves, rendered in fine relief. The fish, a symbol of Macedonian natural heritage, faces right and is positioned at the centre of the coin. A beaded border encircles the design. The bilingual legend reads 'РЕПУБЛИКА МАКЕДОНИЈА' in Cyrillic along the upper arc and 'REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA' in Latin script along the lower arc. The date '1995' appears in the lower exergual area beneath the fish motif. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Issued as part of the FAO's campaign to promote food security and agricultural development, this coin appeared just four years after Macedonian independence — a period when the country was navigating international recognition disputes and a Greek trade embargo imposed in 1994 over the name and flag controversy. Coinage itself was a pointed political act in that climate.
The FAO series coins from this era were produced by numerous small nations simultaneously, often with identical thematic briefs but locally specific agricultural references chosen by each issuing authority.
