Obverse description This Swedish copper plate money (plåtmynt) bears five applied stamps on a large, roughly square cast copper planchet. Each of the four corners carries an identical royal stamp depicting a crown above the regnal date, all enclosed within a circular Latin legend reading CAROLUS·XI·D:G:SVE:GOT:WAN:REX (Carl XI, by the Grace of God, King of the Swedes, Goths and Wends). The central stamp displays the denomination inscription *2* DALER Sölff:Mnt (2 Daler Silvercoin) arranged above three stars. The surface of the planchet is characteristically uneven and shows the rough, hammered texture typical of Swedish plate money production.
