The badge comprises a Tudor crown at apex surmounting a circular laurel wreath enclosing a Viking longship set amid stylised flames or sun rays, with the numeral 330 appearing on both the left and right flanks of the wreath. A scrolled ribbon banner below the badge bears the squadron motto TRYGG HAVET, while the inscriptions NORWEGIAN SQUADRON and ROYAL AIR FORCE appear within and around the circular wreath.
