Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the George IV State Diadem, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished proof field. The legend encircles the portrait along the upper periphery, with the issuer name GIBRALTAR and date 2019 flanking the effigy, and the denomination DOUBLE CROWN inscribed below. The portrait is attributed to the engraving of Raphael David Maklouf, depicting the Queen in a refined, classical style consistent with her third definitive effigy used on Gibraltar coinage.
