| Aanvullende informatie |
Struck in the first full year of Charles III's reign, this issue belongs to a wave of commemorative gold released across British Overseas Territories following the September 2022 accession — Gibraltar among the quickest to market. The Royal Mint supplied blanks and technical oversight, but Gibraltar retains its own issuing authority, a legacy of the 1967 referendum that affirmed British sovereignty by a margin of 12,138 votes to 44.
The .375 fineness — nine-carat gold — keeps the melt value modest, placing these firmly in the commemorative rather than bullion category.
