Obverse description Blue-toned note with a central guilloche underprint bearing the large numeral '2' and the text 'DOS COLONES' in bold letterpress. The left portion carries the promise-to-pay text of the Caja de Conversion overprint, while an allegorical vignette to the right presents two classical female figures flanking a tablet, rendered in intaglio engraving. The note is dated San José, 6 de Febrero de 1940, with series and serial number printed in the upper corners.
