备注	The chervonets was reintroduced as the USSR's hard-currency unit during the New Economic Policy period, deliberately pegged to the pre-revolutionary gold ruble to reassure traders and foreign creditors. By 1928, that NEP framework was already being dismantled — Stalin's first Five-Year Plan launched that same year — making this issue a transitional artifact, printed for a monetary philosophy the state was actively abandoning. The 2-chervontsa denomination was always the odd note in the series, less commonly encountered than the 1 or 3 chervontsa values.
