| Obverse description | The face carries two oval vignettes side by side, each enclosing a view of a traditional Chinese city gate with arched entryway, crenellated walls, and a multi-tiered gatehouse tower; small human figures appear at the base of each gate. A central decorative cartouche with phoenix-like imagery separates the two vignettes, and the denomination character 貳 appears in floral corner medallions at all four corners. The serial number is printed in red above the vignettes, flanking the issuer's name in Chinese characters across the top. |
